SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse man who admitted to pouring bleach in his nephews' milk will spend the next two years in prison.

Aaron Hickman, 20, was sentenced in court this morning after pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree assault. He was also sentenced to one and a half years probation and was served an order of protection against his brother's family.

Hickman admitted to pouring bleach in the milk of his one and three-year-old nephews after he got into an argument with his brother.

Assistant District Attorney, Cindi Newtown said, "The children both suffered from vomiting and diarrhea for a few hours. So based upon the fact that they weren't seriously injured and that the defendant lacks any previous criminal history, the judge felt that two years was appropriate."

At the time of the incident last June. Hickman was living with his brother, his brother's girlfriend and their children on Seymour Street in Syracuse. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
