ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man who was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident in Oneida County is charged with driving drunk.

Sheriff's Deputies say it happened when Thomas Potter, 41, was driving on a trail in the Town of Annsville around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

They say he hit a tree that was lying in the middle of the trail. Potter was stranded on the trail for about an hour until someone found him.

As of last night, he was still at Saint Elizabeth's ICU with a broken neck and back.

Potter was ticketed for snowmobiling while intoxicated.
