SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. -- It's a popular hangout for families and friends during the warmer months, but what you might not know about Sylvan Beach is its eerie reputation.
The village's amusement park was featured on the SyFy Channel's “Ghost Hunters” Wednesday night. The TV crew visited the park grounds to investigate employee claims that the area is haunted.
The park owner says a number of people passed away at the park, including three spirits who seem to be lingering.
The “Ghost Hunters” crew spent the night trying to communicate with the reported ghosts.
The main goal of the episode was to help prove the spirits’ existence without upsetting them and unleashing what park employees believed would be a relentless fury.
