ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rome Police are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery. It happened at the Citgo station on West Dominick Street around 2:15 Saturday morning.

Police said the man seen in this surveillance picture demanded money from the clerk and showed what appeared to be a handgun hidden under his shirt. The man then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He's described as being in his mid-twenties, about 5’4” to 5’6” tall, with a chinstrap beard. The man also appears to have a round tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.

Police are also looking for a second man, who they said met with the suspect behind the gas station. Both men rode away from the store on bicycles. They were last seen heading north on Lyons Street.

If you have any information on the robbery, you're asked to call Rome Police at 315-339-7715, or send an anonymous tip through the department's website at ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
